Avery Back- Paws for a Pet
Crocheted and then donated cat toys for the Human Society.
Yissel Galaviz--No Girl Left Behind
Planned to host Period Party which would gather donations for the Period Project, a non profit organization which serves the underprivileged women in our community.
Addie Hudson--Train Up a Child
Donated 350.00 to Girls on the Run to provide running shoes for girls who cannot afford to purchase on their own.
Breck Carpenter--Lead at Reed
Created and implemented a 20 week Leadership School Program with 8th graders at Reed Middle School. Participants raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
Rebekah Platz-Replanting History:
Planted and maintained 10 Nettle Oak trees at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in honor of the cemetery’s 100th year anniversary. The trees will provide shade and beautification for years to come.
*Royden Slifer- Swing “Fore” Soldiers
Inspired by his veteran grandfather, Royden developed a golf tournament and sponsorship opportunities raising $1475.00 to donate to Vietnam Veterans of America. His donation will help veterans across America gain access to much needed health services.
Juliana Shortt- Pay it Forward
Painted and redecorated the teacher workroom to provide teachers with a space to enjoy and decompress during the school day.
Katie Spencer-Parkview Roots
Created a community garden at Parkview High School.
A.J. Stratton- Influence
Started a TikTok @thatoneajguy to educate youth about mental illness and suicide and to positively influence those who struggle with depression and mental illness.
Javeo Toliver- Viking of the Week
Highlight outstanding students each week to promote positive student interactions.
Shalaiah Waite- Real Talk
Created and published a monthly podcast about topics which are relevant to students.
Ella Werner- Spike Wars Women’s Volleyball Tournament
Hosted a volleyball tournament to raise money for Parkview Volleyball and Leadership School
Alexis Willers- Kits for Kids
Assembled 100 plus bags with necessities for underprivileged students.
